A few months have past since my last post. My current stereo setup is 75% new and still evolving. While I would have loved to post some of those changes as they happened, the lack of a personal PC kind of got in the way. I finally got a mini PC up and running; the Intel NUC7PJYH setup today for some light productivity work and Desktop Audio duties of course.

The NUC7PJYH is a bare bones kit. I just had to install a used SSD from my last mATX SFF Tower and a couple of RAM modules (used from a Mac Mini). I will get Microsoft Office installed by the weekend and that should be it. Good news is I no longer have to use my work laptop for personal stuff. I never quite got the hang of using my wife’s Macbook. My daughter will need MS Office for some of her school projects anyway so a mini PC like the NUC is probably the best solution. I will update again over the weekend. In the meantime, my simple Desktop Audio setup is running as should be. The iFi Zen Dac will be powering my Philips SHP-9500 when at the desk. Still thinking about the Motu M2 pairing with my Sony MDR-7506.
